You're doing well. That's not flattery: a score up here means you have a real process, you follow it, and your psychology mostly holds. Winning weeks. Winning months, even.
Which is exactly why you should read the next part carefully.
What you have hasn't been tested yet. Not properly. A bad week you've handled. But a month where nothing works, where the equity curve just bleeds and the strategy you trust stops paying, you haven't been in that yet. And when it comes, you'll have no reference for it. You won't be able to tell whether it's the strategy failing or just what a drawdown looks like from the inside. Someone with ten years recognises the shape of it and waits. You'll have a spreadsheet that says this shouldn't be happening.
That's when the adjusting starts. Small at first: tighten a filter, skip the marginal ones. Then bigger. And it's the adjusting that breaks traders like you, not the losses.
There's a second thing you already know about, even if you've never named it. Some days the setup is valid but you can feel it isn't the day. Price is choppy, something's shifted, the market isn't behaving the way it does when this works. Your rules say take it. Your gut says don't. You've no basis to trust the gut yet, so you take it, and lose. That's discretion, knowing when to act and when to stand aside, and no backtest can carry it, because the charts change and the data can't tell you when.
Here's the part that matters most: confidence doesn't come back at the rate it drops. One bad month can reopen every question you thought you'd closed, and send a trader at your level all the way back to the start: searching again, two years older, now carrying evidence he failed. You've probably watched it happen to someone.
You can't study your way past this. The only two routes are living through years of it yourself, or being in the room while someone who already has narrates it daily: the bad stretches handled properly, the days he sits out and why. Borrowed experience, before you need your own.
Look back at your four section totals and find your lowest one. That's your gap.
Now notice something: none of those twenty questions were about knowledge. Not one asked whether you understand market structure, or order blocks, or liquidity. Because that was never the problem.
Every single one was about what you do when the market is live.
That's the thing no course can teach you — and it's exactly what we're covering on Sunday.
Why 90% of traders still lose after years of studying — and the one thing that actually changes it.
